Making a sustainable city has become a common topic of conversation nowadays, it is a discussion we have with our colleagues, our students, and within our communities. We discuss the true meaning of a sustainable city, what it means to us individually, and how we can contribute to it. We also talk about its key features, what it should include, and the characteristics and elements of it. ..
A well designed park does wonders for a city, environmentally and socially, and as Fredrick Law Olmsted once said, parks are “the lungs of the city”. Eedama gives everyone the opportunity to explore Umm Al Emarat Park in a unique, peculiar, proactive way, and enjoy a day of outdoor education. We get to tour one of Abu Dhabi’s sustainable parks and learn all about its design, material, features, and what makes it environmentally friendly.
At Eedama, we start any tour or workshop by asking what you need and what you’re looking forward to learning. It is important to us that you achieve the learning goals you set, and we aim to help you do that, no matter the diversity of these goals. For example, we hosted New York University of Abu Dhabi in January, where we explored different aspects of Masdar City in relation to the topic studied by the students in class. We did multiple sessions to cover various topics such as: General sustainability, Solar Photovoltaic Energy, Mobility and Transport as well as Social Justice and Sustainability.
Eedama provides professional training for different age groups and initiatives, raising awareness on various important topics of sustainability with every step they take. Eedama is currently collaborating with StartAD - NYU through training and mentoring, an Abu Dhabi-based global accelerator steering seed-stage technology startups to launch, develop, and scale their ventures.
